Ways of organizing information

Often when researching, I organize my workspace into several contexts, for example by keeping tabs which are related to school in one window and tabs for research projects in seperate windows (right now I have one dedicated to ?mailing list research). Periodically I will go through my collection of tabs and file relevant documents into wiki pages. This is one stage of synthesis, where I mix together the various sources I’ve found and present an overview of my findings.
